Electronic Ballast
The trend in the lighting industry towards energy-efficient lighting systems with ECG is being given a considerable boost by EU Directive 2000/55/EU. From May 2002, conventional control gear may no longer be used within the European Union. When Stage 2 comes into effect in November 2005 the era of the so call low-loss CCG will come to an end. The aim of the new Directive is to achieve a significant reduction in the energy consumption of fluorescent lamp/control gear systems and encourage the greater use of ECG. In Thailand kilowatt-hour cost is among the highest in the world surpassing many western European countries. Electricity bills are expected to increase in the Kingdom during 2004 due to the steady increase in price of natural gas key source of electricity production. OSRAM offers the largest electronic ballast range including dimming models. OSRAM Thailand has selected Seven A as its Master ECG distributor. Readily available in Bangkok and Chiangmai.
